- ABOUT THE ITEM -
Columbus Air Force Base (KCBM) is a United States Air Force installation located in Columbus Mississippi. It's the home of the 14th Flying Training Wing (14 FTW) which is part of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC). The base was established in 1941 and originally named Kaye Field after World War I flying ace Samuel Kaye, Jr. The base was later renamed Columbus Air Force Base to avoid confusion with nearby Key Field in Meridian Mississippi.
