- ABOUT THE ITEM -
The Queen Elizabeth class is a class of aircraft carriers in service with the Royal Navy. The lead ship, HMS Queen Elizabeth, was commissioned on 7 December 2017 and entered operational service in 2018. The second, HMS Prince of Wales, was launched on 21 December 2017, and was commissioned on 10 December 2019. The ships are meant to boost the Royal Navy power projection capabilities and will replace the aging Invincible Class carriers that served during the Falklands War.
